Have A Go/Kiwi Course

The free course targets coaches in the Have A Go, Kiwi and junior softball grades.  The course, run over one night, is non-examinable and will teach coaches drills and games that will provide enjoyment while developing players' skills.

Dates for Have A Go and Kiwi Coaching 2012 courses are: 
Mon 15 October: Trentham Memorial Park 6.00pm – 8.00pm
Mon 22 October: Stadium 6.00pm – 8.00pm
Mon 29 October: Hutt Rec 6.00pm – 8.00pm
Wed 7 November: Basin 6.00pm – 8.00pm

Coaching a Cricket Team Course

The Coaching a Cricket Team course (CACT) is free and is an ideal for intermediate hardball grades and softball coaches. The course offers a slightly more edgy exposure to the delivery of the game and will actively teach the coaches drills to continuously develop players skills at this level.

This course also has an online component together with the practical component. Coaches are required to attend the practical which is a hands on 3 hour session including batting, bowling and fielding skills and drills. After the practical, the online section is completed by the coach in their own time through the NZC cricket website.

Wed 26 September: TBC 6.00pm – 9.00pm* 
Mon 8 October: Westpac Stadium 6.00pm – 9.00pm
Wed 17 October: Upper Hutt 6.00pm – 9.00pm
Wed 24 October: TBC 6.00pm – 9.00pm*
Mon 29 October: TBC 6.00pm – 9.00pm*
Mon 5 November: Basin Reserve 6.00pm – 9.00pm

*These dates have been set aside for clubs to initiate their own coaching courses at their club. The Coachforce educator will travel to the club to conduct the session for the clubs coaching group which will allow for club coaches to develop a support network while gaining some insight into coaching.
